Artist statement:

Wool crafts have always played a large part in my life, learning to knit as a child. The 1970's saw the purchase of my first knitting machine and involvement with the NZ Machine Knitters' Society which led to me becoming National President for 4 years, and a national tutor.  

An offer of a fleece by a friend (also in the 1970's) opened up a new world when a spinning wheel was purchased and I initially taught myself to spin.  

All these hobbies still occupy a large amount of my time hence the title:

'By Hand, Machine and Spinning Wheel'
