Fibre Fusion

Artist's statement: "Fibre Art is my passion. I work in fine fibres mostly merino, silk and alpaca usually with two types of fibre in each article, hence the title 'Fibre Fusion'. I am dyeing the fibre myself. I control the outcome of a project from beginning to end. I particularly enjoy needle felting to create 'paint-like’ New Zealand scenes and icons. I have spent time teaching fibre art to women in Mongolia, which has allowed them to earn a living. 	Needlefelt Pictures On display are several framed pictures, various sizes. Unfortunately it was very difficult to photograph these without getting reflections from the glass frame. They are best viewed in the Exhibition.
