Fibre Spectrum May 2018 Exhibition
Eco Printing
by Diane Harris
Eco Printing is a process which extracts the colours from leaves and flowers,
and prints them onto fabric.
This exhibition will be open until the final closure date.

Artist Statement:

All my life I have been interested in artistic expression. First as an oil painter of landscapes and florals for about 17 years, and then as an art teacher for a further 14 years
.
From there I became a knitter for Fibre Spectrum where I've been for the past 25 years.

Recently I have taken up Eco Printing. Eco Printing uses leaves and flowers to print patterns and colours onto fabric.

This art has recently experienced a revival which is timely, given the present need to take greater care of the environment.
