Unique Pottery, by two of our talented local potters

Rita Edgar and Sandra Mead

Sandra Mead:

I am a practising artist, working from home.
I am currently working with textiles and fibres, and mostly in 3D. However, that can change, as I will always suit the technique and meterials to the idea when creating things.
I completed a degree in Visual Arts and Design at
NMIT and that greatly broadened and strengthened my practice.
In this exhibition I am experimenting with the inclusion of combustible materials in clay, and am finding the very organic results interesting.
I live with my husband Graham at
120 Westdale Road, on the way to Mapua.
