“TexArt Design” We are a small group, formed recently, with the aim of bringing our own ideas and interpretation to wall-hangings, quilts, textile based art pieces and other items. How do we intend to achieve this? By drawing on our collective skills and experience as quilters, embroiderers, fabric dyers, etc.. We shall be using and enhancing those skills, and new ones, as we develop our own designs to create original textile articles and art works. Our preliminary meetings have been full of enthusiasm for the initiation of our new projects, brimful of ideas and the sharing of completed works – and a healthy dose of quick, quirky humour thrown into the mix. We are enjoying the journey and hope that you, too, have enjoyed coming to view our selection in this exhibition. |
